Sally's magnolia in the rain

I didn't really enjoy my time outdoors today walking to and from the gym. It's astonishing how exposure to drizzle and a sharp breeze can leave you soaked wet and freezing cold. I'm not sure that the blossom on SallyMair's magnolia bush (blipped) was a fan of today's weather either. 

We visited Sally this afternoon on a mission to collect a charity shop purchase that she made on our behalf last week. We also came home with a posh box of chocolate liqueurs (hic!) It was great to see one another in person for chat over tea and cake. On our way home we called into the garden centre to pick up a few supplies.

Earlier in the day I met the new instructors for our aquafit and strength training classes. Their approaches are different from those of Marc, but still very good. 

I returned from the gym to find a sore Mr hazelh. He fell over when out running (and contemplating consciousness) this morning and now sports nasty bruises on his knee and hip, a cut on his knee, and a grazed hand.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; aquafit class; swim (20 lengths); strength training; walking (12,726 steps).
