Old cooker hood, new cooker hood

When the lights on our cooker hood (left) broke a few weeks ago, we knew that it really was time to replace the whole unit. (The fan hasn't worked for ages.) It took quite a lot of effort on Mr hazelh's part to source a new hood that is the right size for our hob, so we were delighted this morning when a workman from a local kitchen company installed the one to the right of my blip. Unfortunately, when Mr hazelh first tried to use it at lunchtime, neither the lights nor fan worked - aaargh! After a lot of hassle on the phone this afternoon, Mr hazelh has arranged for someone to come and fix it tomorrow.

Today I blogged about a newly published journal article that I co-authored with Marina, Pete, and Peter, ran 5K, had several discussions with my sisters online and on the phone, gardened, and looked after Mummy hazelh. This evening Jackie came round to keep Mummy hazelh company while Mr hazelh and I went out for a delicious scampi dinner at the Fishmarket in Newhaven.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; 5k run; walking (22,431 steps including run).
