Looking towards Bradgate Park
Got up nice and early, so I could fly my drone. It is about the first time where the wind had dropped enough to make it as safe as possible to fly.
This view is from 100m up and even then, there was a bit of wobble. More obvious when having the camera's gimbal pointing downwards.
This view shows Bradgate Park in the distance, with in the foreground Braunstone Lane and Braunstone Cross Roads. At one time I spent a lot of time around here.
There is a Doctors surgery, dental surgery, a Co-Op, a newsagents and a Post Office all close to the cross roads.
Beyond the cross roads is Meynells Gorse Park & Ride, which is what I use to go into the city centre. The white buildings are a large industrial estate behind the Park & Ride. This used to be the site of a massive factory called British Shoe Corporation.
When I was in the city centre later in the morning, I picked up my ammended railway ticket from the rail station. Then used the Hop! free electric bus service to go to a couple of other points to take some bus photos and video. All that, including travel into the city centre, within 2 and a bit hours.
