Windy
Since this morning it has very windy out, according to Ask Gemini on my phone for Leicester, there have been gusts up to 40 mph.
I had planned on going for a walk to video some buses on the A47, which would be a bit pointless, as the sound would have been knocked out by the wind.
So instead I spent some of the day sorting out my travel plans for when I go back to France. I'll be going back a day early due to travel disruption on the day I wanted to return on.
EMR trains have been able to re-book my trip down to London at no charge. Not the case with Eurostar.
As I'll no longer be returning on a Sunday, that also means I won't have disruption at the Paris end and will be able to use the bus to get to the top of our street.
I've also bought the virtual tickets to charge up my Navigo card for that bit (like an Oyster card in London).
I'm a bit annoyed by having to be inconvenienced both in time and money, but it is done now. Mme MB and the kids will be there soon (and she has had some problems with our two cars... another story).
I'll head into town tomorrow, to do some video, seeing as it is supposed to be settled. Am also planning to put my drone up in the morning as it is the first time since I arrived that the wind gusts will be low enough to go up high.
Meanwhile here is a photo of my friends flag pole, which is in his back garden.
