Everyday Life

Pika Pika

I had a call from the pharmacist at the GP surgery today. It was meant to be about my cholesterol level, but he changed it a bit as they had received my TIA diagnosis from the hospital.

I've been sent (by text!) links to information about my medication, what I can eat (very short, bland and unappealing list.) and what I must not eat (much longer and tastier list.) Most things I can have are plant based so that's not a problem.at least. Everything has to be cooked from scratch though, no more shortcuts.

I'm making sure I get plenty of exercise every day too, though I always did. That's also recommended. So I did a YouTube workout and also had to go into town again, which, along with the house jobs I've done have given me 12,500 steps. That's nothing to some people, I know..

My photo is a giant cuddly Pikachu who is in the window of a Geek Retreat in town. I love Pikachu, my son was a big Pokemon fan as a child!

The burger van is closed over the Easter weekend, so that's three weeks in a row I've not been to work.

Oh yeah, before I forget - flies! We have a plague of them in our house. The other day there must have been at least 50 on the back door. Brian opened the door and shooed them out, but there's still loads. Minstrel has practiced his hunting skills on them, but he's bored of them now. Fly spray isn't safe around pets and fly-paper is gross and cruel, so I guess we're stuck with them. Has anyone else had an issue with them?
