Sunshine and showers all day. One had to time one's forays outside. Though the showers were usually short-lived.
We all took a walk out this afternoon, for JR was on a mission at the bead shop. Dogs allowed in. But Archie and I didn't stay long, it was busy! I knew if we started walking back, JR would soon catch us up.
But as we crossed the road at Bennett's Bar, the rain came on! So we popped in. I just had a half of lager (NO CRISPS) and I quite enjoyed the laid back, quiet unobtrusive music. I used my phone to identify the songs/singers (such a great tool) and mentioned to the barman that I'd enjoyed the music. He was quite chuffed, I think, because he said he'd compiled the playlist himself.
JR, not having been long in the shop, was half way across the Links, and not seeing us ahead, had checked her phone for any messages. She declined to come back and join us in the pub.
When we came out it was bright sunshine. The golfers we'd seen teeing off on the way down were still going, not at all put off by the weather. And it has turned into a beautiful evening. I really should go down and view the blossom, I hear it's looking splendid now.
