Isabella plantation

The twins slept well and didn’t wake until about 6.30 …their usual time re school etc.  We had breakfast and after played a game of Bird Bingo before they departed.

I went to the allotment to sort out where we will plant runner beans. The soil is so so dry . I also checked on the new strawberry plants which seem OK, and watered them.

This afternoon I met with a group of cycling friends and we cycled  into Richmond Park and the Isabella Plantation as one of them thought it would be in full colour…I was sceptical because of a blippers comments! However it was a nice walk and there were quite few azaleas out and lots and lots of foreign visitors there. It must be in lots of the online guides to go and visit I think to take photos for a Instagram etc.! This is the Black Pond  where in a week or two there will be amazing reflections.

I also saw some plants I had not seen before see extra, a type of yellow lily.

On the way home I popped into Ham House to check on the Easter trail as may go there on Saturday with the family. The gardens there are looking very neat and tidy with lots of flowers about to come out plus kitchen garden looking good too. I’ve now visited two kitchen gardens on consecutive days!
