Ride The Pennines Day 4!

A great stay at the Youth Hostel in Alston and a super sleep on the top bunk. Are you ever too old to be excited by sleeping on the top of a bunk bed?! 

Anyway, the sun has refound it's hat and popped it back on today. Yippee!! It brought with it some very gusty winds but nothing could spoil my blue sky feeling! 

Today's route has taken me incredibly close to Hadrian's Wall, through some brilliantly named villages, dipped into areas of The Kielder Forest and allowed for a stop off at the last cafe in England! 

I'm now stationed at The Forest View Walkers Inn in Byrness which is simple but lovely in that simplicity. :-)
