A helping hand

I drove Smithers to the eye clinic for his four-monthly check up appointment this morning, and then I went off to have my hair cut this afternoon. 

While I was out our handyman friend from church came to fit a new shower door for us, and he also fitted a grab handle to the wall of the shower, which will make life a lot easier for both Smithers and me.

We seem to be making quite a few modifications to the house of late to compensate for the fact that we are less mobile and more in need of support.
