Jan and Mika - Easter action
Lasse and I set off two lots of beer today; one Yorkshire Bitter, one Czech Pilsener. It all went very smoothly and made we wonder why it's at least three years since I last brewed beer. I shall do more in the near future.
We spent a lot of the day indoors as it was very misty and rather cold outside but the weather improved a little in the afternoon so we went for a short wander. (Lasse has a rather painful back just now.) Once home we amused ourselves and Mika by throwing her Frisbee. In the main picture she had decided where the frisbee was going and is setting off in a suitable direction at high speed. The extra shows the half-second earlier!
We also reorganised the woodpile a little. This meant moving all the wood we'd previously piled there. Fortunately there wasn't so much wood there, and it did all look a lot better. Now I just have to start splitting logs and filling up that giant empty frame.
Buds are beginning to appear on the birches, some plants are starting grow, so spring is on the way. But it is still cold enough to restrain most growth and the forecast suggests it's staying that way for the next ten days. Very little rain forecast which both feels good (I don't really like being out in the rain.) and bad. We really need some rain to keep the ground water levels up.
That's Good friday done - soon the joyful bit of Easter will be here...
