In the beech woods
A walk with Val first thing, in Whirlow Woods. The new beech leaves almost glow and the bluebells are still looking good.
Later I picked wild garlic leaves from our garden patch, ready to bake into a loaf of bread tomorrow. The recipe adds chopped leaves and 100g of mashed potato to a standard white flour recipe. The result is a tasty and quite distinctly green loaf :-)
It'll be part of my contribution to tomorrow afternoon's birthday get-together for Marianna.
