Much Too Early

Temperature about +17. Cloudy, but also some sun. Later raining more and more.

I went to the allotment. Mr S stayed at home to make lamb stew for Easter.
In the allotment I gave my assistant girl instructions how to prune our Hortensias, so I could do weeding while watching her work. It's never been possible to weed this early in spring. We have hortensias about ten and they are big, smooth hydrangeas. A few more were done after yesterday, four left. This took three hours. When we were leaving it slowly began showering, later raining. At home the delicious smell of food was already waiting outside the door. But it's only allowed to eat it tomorrow...

In the picture there is lilacs (Syringa) in the allotment area. This one bush by the wall seems to have opening flower buds already, more than a month earlier than usual. I can't believe it :o
