Parliamentarian or Royalist?

We went to do the Easter Trail at Ham House today. The theme was the English Civil War and we were meant to divided into two teams.
Royalists such as the Royalist Elizabeth  Murray who want to save Ham House from Cromwells Parliamentarians. So the teams were called Save or Seize and there were 10 stations with various activities which included tug of war, throwing bean bags through hoops and a big tangram.  See the Royalist in the extra!
Much enjoyed by the three grandchildren and it resulted in a draw!

The sun came out and we were able to have a leisurely lunch sitting outside the cafe while the children played in the kitchen garden. Later back home we had some cakes .
