Bank Holiday Beachcomber
FRIDAY
A rain-swept and chilly Good Friday afternoon in Rhyl.
With only a couple of dog walkers for company, this lone metal detectorist methodically swept the empty sands in search of buried treasure.
At the start of the Easter holidays, the A55 was busy with traffic, but it seemed the holidaymakers were giving Rhyl a miss. The town was quiet, and even the fun park with its children's rides stood silent and shuttered.
Apart from a visit to the supermarket and a walk on the seafront, it was a day for staying indoors.
