Easter Sunday: Fruit Blossom Update

A lovely sunny morning, emptied the washing basket, good drying weather which soon had the clothes back indoors to finish off.

Visited our neighbours across the road with another couple of bags of books for the “readers club” also went to say hello to Myrddin and his hens - they’re all so lovely and friendly :-)

MrD went for a walk after lunch whilst I made a slow cooked beef casserole for his dinner this evening.

Today’s Blip of James Grieve apple blossom which is still in bud but the blackcurrant bush is almost as tall as the apple tree and absolutely covered in flowers which the insects are really enjoying :-)
Dwarf apple tree “Sunset red” is covered in blossom and I’m hoping for lots of fruit. Bardsey eating apple flowers also in tight bud but the warmer weather, 15°C at lunchtime, should get everything moving soon …
The Bramley cooking apple has lots of flower buds but they’re all way out of reach and haven’t opened yet either.

Late afternoon watched another episode of series 2 of “Our Welsh Chapel Dream” on Channel 4.

Happy Easter everyone :-)
Pasg Hapus :-))
