Ice cream

Such a quiet night and slept so well. We headed off for hike this morning along a stretch of the west highland way. Walked a bit further than planned at the weather was wonderful. Stood for a while in a woodland listening to cuckoo, Siskin and a woodpecker. Deer spotted a couple of times, so a good day.
So warm heading back that I had an ice cream from a small shop next to the Inveroran hotel. I got a couple of odd looks from walkers carrying heavy kits for camping down the hill as we wandered up with ice cream.
Just about to leave the park up when we noticed flashing lights on the road above and the traffic in both direction stopped so I trotted up the track to ask the policeman if we could get out as we were heading away from the accident and he said yes so no holdup for us. Unfortunately the car involved in the accident was being lifted onto a pickup and was very badly damaged.
Back on the site we were on two weeks ago and still warm so we sat in the sun and had a g&t.
Back to cottage tomorrow where grandson and his parents have been since Thursday, so that will be interesting and wonder if it will feel like we are visiting them.
