Parenting .......

....... the Crested Grebe way!!

It all looked kinda cruel - baby being pecked and ducked by Mummy-Grebe but it seemed no harm was done and all three babies (you can only see two here) came back for more!!

Sorry it's a little out of focus in parts but we were standing on a very busy pontoon bridge that bounced and swayed every time someone walked along it - and it was a very busy afternoon - add to that 'grebe-antics' and you get blur!!

Wider Beak ...

Had a great day out with AMC (my lovely Mum), Swampy316, Velofor, Katcal and Tigger (along with "Mr Tigger" the baker of beautiful cakes - today's was a chocolate and caramel cake which sounds very sickly but which was, in fact, as light as a feather and exceedingly good!!) - we all met up at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough in the warm sunshine .......

Thank you all for the great company, the laughs and the companionable blipping!!!
