Red Eyes

I spent much of the day on traditional Easter Sunday tasks: mowing the lawn and weeding! Still, it is all beginning to look tidier after the winter hiatus.

As I worked a robin followed me around picking up juicy titbits from the newly clearly earth. Sadly I didn't have a camera at hand to record his efforts (not even the mobile which was inside on a kitchen cabinet).

Instead I spotted what looked like an interesting bug so thought it might be worth heading inside to grab the camera.  Moving a leaf to get a better angle it turned out to only be a fly; one with the lovely and apparently descriptive name of "flesh fly" at that. Still it had lovely red eyes, and turned out to be one of the only decent shots I took today, so has to be my blip.
