Bridging the Gap (MM587)

A bank holiday Monday, so the weather is dreich!

We have spent most of the day on printing and mount cutting for the Art Group May exhibition.  Gill and our neighbour are sharing two boards so I have been printing a couple of Alex's photographed paintings and Gill has been cutting mounts.  They are also using smaller prints to make greetings cards.

My blip is from a quick foray into the rail cutting.
A few years back I cut through some ivy stems in an effort to preserve the hawthorn tree they were slowly strangling.    It now looks like the ivy has bridged the gap and is reclaiming the route up the tree trunk.
Sadly - the tree may have to go.  It has a fairly full crown and leans over our shed and our neighbour's summer house.  Might have to be a winch and chainsaw job come the autumn.

In-camera focus staking, processed in Silver Efex with a cyanotype filter.

ApolloFly and I are co-hosting Mono Monday this month.
She is taking the lead this, and next, week so I'll just be choosing several I like and she will choose the awards.
