Easter Sunday

Here we are following tradition of heading to Blackford , climbing the Red Brae and along to the spot where we like to throw the eggs down the hill. The view from here is one of my favourites as it stretches as far as Ben Chonzie at Callander. We had the usual fun with near misses and slips. I had bought a hotel chocolat box of chocs in Dobbies on Thursday which were half price as they had Happy Mothers Day on them. We sat on the hill and demolished them.

The weather was beautiful and quite warm.

We headed over to the woods and was shocked at how many trees that had been uprooted by that storm a few months ago. Walked round the cemetery as had some flowers for Grandpa and Dad’s grave. A lovely little bunch of spring g flowers that I had picked from the garden. It made me a bit thoughtful that I had t put mums ashes there yet either and she would be telling g me to get on with it!

We said goodbye to Kevin and Paul after walking up the Main Street to the War Memorial.the gang and us met at Slap Happy (my mums name for Broadslap Farm Cafe. It was 4pm and wondered if it was shut but no thankfully not, just had stopped main meals from the kitchen it was just drinks and cake. Which we had, well apart from me I had a scone.

The other lady that was there in the dog friendly area was feeling g her Jack russel half her cake and also a bowl or milk……. Lucca got a bowl of water. She had already eaten half the smashed boiled eggs.

Home and was shattered. Must have been all the fresh air and the exercise up and down the hill.
