Something's Burning

An unmanned feed barge went on fire at the greenhead area of the harbour this morning. Eventually, after I had moved on, there were three fire engines, ambulance, harbour tug boat and the lifeboat in attendance. The men on the pier are obviously not worried about anything exploding but I'm sure they were moved along with the authorities arrived.
In the extra evidence that the wagtails are back on their breeding grounds. There has been at least one pair, sometimes two, nesting along by the Hoswick burn for over a decade now and there were two busying themselves in the area today.
