Family Portrait

Our special visitors go home today, battling the bank holiday traffic leaving North Wales. The poor weather means even trying for an early(ish) start is futile as the A55 offers nose-to-tail queues of people heading home; the journey is slow and tortuous with a very over-active Lili frustrated in her car seat.

It has been a delightful few days with the three of them. Lili is a joy - though I do feel frustrated that I can’t lift her up. She’s so active that sitting down for cuddles or a quiet read just doesn’t happen at the moment, while chasing, catching, and lifting her up  results is joyous giggles.

Daniel and Solveig have asked me to take a photograph of the three of them for Lili’s day nursery - apparently there’s a family wall of portraits and their current one is very much out of date. I only remember shortly before they leave so I quickly grab my camera and take a few of them against the bare conservatory wall.  One advantage of the current ‘renovation project’ is that most of our walls are free of paintings and photographs, providing great backgrounds!

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my Lili blips over the last few days - and my blips in general - especially when I’m so poor at reciprocating at the moment.
