Noah on the Mower
And concentrating hard! Today I picked up Noah just before 0900 and after calling in at home to pick up Wendy, we sped over to Trish and Adrian in Sevenoaks. After lunch, Noah and Adrian looked at some Meccano models (v interesting. To be continued at a later date|) we walked over to a nearby park where Noah spent some time on the swings and seesaw and suchlike. We refreshed with an ice cream!
Then Adrian decided to walk over to Knole Park (Knole is one of England's largest country houses. It is reputed to be a calendar house, having 365 rooms, 52 staircases, 12 entrances and 7 courtyards. The house was built by Thomas Bourchier, Archbishop of Canterbury, between 1456 and 1486, on the site of an earlier house). To our surprise, Noah opted to walk with him despite us saying that it was a long walk and that Adrian, having slipped a disc last September, could not possibly carry him. Wendy, Trish and I walked back to the house to pick up the car and meet them there. One of the many attractions is the deer that live there. Noah counted at least 31 by the time we left.
Then back to Trish and Adrian's house where (running late) Noah assisted Adrian with cutting the grass on the sit on mower. Despite having to stretch a bit to reach the pedals. Noah soon got the hang of it including reverse. Apparently they got up to speed 4! A lovely day.
