More tulips

Pain, paracetamol and lack of sleep meant I didn’t feel too perky this morning but we got our stuff back out of the bathroom to leave space for Chris to get on. However he didn’t come as now his wife has the sick bug the baby had.

Mr C took the car to be looked as it has an oil leak. Luckily it was only a seal. It’s getting old now but neither of us can be bothered to start the tedious job for finding a replacement. (It would be have to be second hand).

I did some of the Vienna book and read a bit of “The Roman Empire in 21 Women”. It’s clever and irreverent but one woman at a time is enough so I started on Andrew O’Hagan’s “Mayflies” which is an easy read, but good.

I’ve made a veggie chilli for our meal. It’s a beautiful day and I’d have loved to have had a walk in the hills but I don’t want to upset the Search and Rescue team.
