Bluebells in the Outwoods, Spring 2025
I'm not really happy with this photo but I had my macro lens on my camera and needs must. It's a record shot. I can no longer get to the best places in the woodland for bluebell shots and I was unable to book a tramper. Thereby hangs a tale. Besides, the tramper can't negotiate the slopes to get to the best sites. So this shot, as has been the case for the last two years , was taken over the boundary fence at the Outwoods car park.
The greenery is so fresh. It almost makes up for it. I also got three candid shots as well, so it wasn't a wasted trip.
I need to look up how to cook mackerel now for my tea. Bought at the fishmonger's last Friday. Mindful that mackerel doesn't have a good shelf life, I've lodged it in the deepest, coldest part of the fridge. Lou told me to microwave it. He did trim it for me to remove as many bones as possible.
