Tiptoe Through The Tulips
This magpie is a regular visitor to our garden, no doubt attracted by the quantities of bird food on offer. Obviously, he does not have a monopoly on the food supplies, although I’m sure that in his mind he thinks he does, judging by the aggression shown to any other bird that has the temerity to approach the feeders.
What sets this magpie apart from our other feathered visitors is that he rarely takes to the air, seemingly preferring to walk around the garden - and the wider domain of the cul-de-sac. Mrs C has pointed out that this is probably more due to his damaged tail feather rather than some strange avian passion for getting his step count up.
Mind, he’s not the only one getting his exercise today - a fairly strenuous PT session this morning certainly worked a few muscles that haven’t been tested for a while! On the plus side, I got a couple of PBs. On the minus side, I’ve not really felt like doing anything else for the rest of the day…
