Wheelie bad

Pops car has a problem whereby the indicators sometimes don’t work properly.
The fix is replacing the switch, which is buried in the steering column. How convenient.

In theory an easy fix but as it involves taking the steering wheel off there is an airbag to deal with. This makes me nervous.

Anyway it all came apart ( once I invested in a new socket ) fairly easily, getting it back together though was much harder. The new part has springs in it, springs which spring at just the wrong time. It’s all back together and the indicators, lights, wipers etc are fine but there is a strange click as I turn. I think I’ve pushed the clock spring in a bit far. It’ll be ok for a few days, I’ll take it apart again at the weekend.
