Nobody but us in Noudar

The outing today was to Noudar castle, which never fails to impress - but the wild flowers today were spectacular - the whole place stuffed with every colour - and the views from up there impossible to capture, a small attempt in extra. But the best thing is the utter silence from human noise - just burbling water and birdsong. As always, we were the only visitors, I suppose because the access isn't easy.

Gratefuls:
- them enjoying the stop at the river on the way, almost warm enough for a swim, but not quite
- delicious picnic in the shade, accompanied by a Bico Amarelo vinho verde from Esporão
- Cecílio and Ermelinda's generous hospitality tonight: gambas, caldo verde, bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, and other Portuguese food
