towards the east

We saw several holiday cyclists. Most of them near Giethoorn. Today we rode through the so-called Venice of the North. It was not very busy, but we were there early. The landscape after Giethoorn is flat. The reeds reach high and the breeding birds must be a delight for birdwatchers. We were touched every time again by seeing yet another young family of geese.

Right in the center of Meppel it started to rain. Not far from a terrace with a large awning. The best way to wait for the shower is a coffee break :-).

As I mentioned earlier, we booked a room in a B&B for the coming nights. Now the space appears to be so big that we can set up and check our new tent. The newer version is just a little bit different than the old one, so practicing with setting it up is nice.
