Transitional

Work in the house continues to dominate; it’s always so frustrating that when you think you’ve ‘finished’, there are so many small jobs that need to be done before all the decorating stuff can be cleared away and you really return to normal.

So blipping’s still restricted to the garden, and while many of the early flowering bulbs have long since finished, there are some tulips that are just opening up. Usually I buy big showy collections from Sarah Raven, but this years were a bargain buy from B&Q. I couldn’t even remember what colour I’d bought, but now they’re just opening I discover they’re a lovely deep pink - small double flowers, but tall and elegant. Right now they’re in that wonderful transitional stage with some still tightly budded, others bursting open and a few in full bloom. But I think most blippers agree, tulips really don’t have a stage that isn’t beautiful in one way or another.

I’m pleased so many of you enjoyed the link to Aneurin Phillips’ website yesterday. It’s the first time there’s been a standing ovation at a camera club presentation!

Slowly catching up with journals - but I’ve still a way to go.
