Thursday: Red Sky and Welsh Poppy

This was the sky this morning when I went to let the chickens out of their coop at 6am. Such a beautiful morning  :-)

After an early breakfast I potted up one of my many Anthemis punctata ( https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2443501396994035320 ) with a few lobelia bought last weekend and some homegrown Limnanthes (poached egg plant) - white, blue and yellow should work, shouldn’t it?

I let the hens out of their run and they spent an hour wandering around the garden, scratching for insects and pecking at the grass, they had a repeat of this at 6pm too. They are the loveliest creatures x

We had a very heavy shower early afternoon, luckily I’d collected all my planting paraphernalia and put it away in the greenhouse.

Whilst gardening I spotted the first Welsh Poppy (meconopsis cambrica) to flower this year, I’m sure they’re normally a lot earlier … better late etc.

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
