Friday: Let Us OUT …

Up at 6 to let the hens out of their sleeping quarters and into the run. Gave them some breakfast and left them for a few hours.

Had breakfast then opened the door and let the hens out into their enclosure but when I checked on them 2 had flown over the fence so I sat in their garden whilst they wandered around exploring and scratching in the borders for tasty treats :-)

Whilst they were back in their run at the end of the morning I started clearing the piece of garden in front of the new wall with the intention of planting it up and planting the neglected garden next to the wall, I have grown an assortment of plants in pots and it will be nice to have them in a permanent garden - it’s going to be a long, slow job!

MrD had a busy day of deliveries and was glad to finish and come home.

This evening we’ll probably watch “Have I Got News for You” …
