...she has been to B&Q, Screwfix, and to the house of colleague & friend off on sick leave (continuing to recover well) en-route to having Biscuit's new chain looked at.

I first had a bimble to where I knew ex'TT racer Steve Ives' garage to be but unfortunately everything looked closed up and the number listed online rang out :-/ Next stop was Hyde Road & Racing, a longstanding local business who have recently relocated only to find the have no workshop except for prepping new bikes. They did recommend another workshop though that was local so I tottered over in its direction and within half an hour had one fettled chain, yay!

After collecting some ingredients for youngest's tea I paid Dad a visit, enjoying a cuppa in their back garden before heading home to go all Delia/Nigella/chef of choice to whizz up what am told was a 'banging' plate of Bolognese with leftovers for tomorrow...mine was a veggie alternative in a separate pan and not too shabby either.

And as of 21:22 hours, that was Thursday :-)
