Imposter

Raised from seed.   A South African romulea, possibly Romulea tabularis, which is not the name on the label which belongs to a large pink flowered species.  This flower is really very small, looming large only due to the tricks of the camera.

A gentle day off started with the usual walk with C and the Megs plus Bella.  Warm in the sun but a cool wind as we sat on 'our ' bench.   A stop at pottery on the way home was a fail, today I could not centre the clay correctly on the wheel.   The wheel I usually use was out of order, the one I tried is much less familiar.  I'll try again another day.

After lunch and a post lunch cuppa with a friend who called in to borrow something, some time tidying and sorting in the garden included potting on some Sweet Pea seedlings.   Things are slowly beginning to look tidier.  On finding  the last potato in the bag was rotten I made dumplings to have with the casserole tea which were a decadently delicious alternative :-)

Community pottery session this evening.  Always a mix of clay and chat, I finished off a daffodil candleholder and fashioned some thumb pots which became bud vases by the end of the session.
