Lake Minsi ...

... First kayaking paddle of the year!

Yay!  Today was so lovely that we decided to go up to Lake Minsi for our first kayaking of the year.  And even though it was quite windy we had a wonderful time.  

And saw a great variety of birds.  Pictured in my main is a graylag goose.  I can't remember ever seeing one of these geese up here before.  And pictured in the Extras is a beautiful purple martin in flight.  

We also saw a bald eagle, an osprey and a red-tailed hawk.  When the hawk flew by all the smaller birds scattered ... just like they should!
