The Last Post . . .

…………………………….. being played sensitively at the Arrowtown Cenotaph this morning, during Australia & New Zealand’s annual ANZAC commemorations. Initially to commemorate the disastrous manoeuvres in Türkiye during the ill-timed Gallipoli invasions, the ANZAC connection has spread to include shared ventures in many other locations. ANZAC stands for Australia & New Zealand Army Corp. Our two countries share some very meaningful connections.

It was a wonderful service to attend this morning, together with several thousand others, locals and visitors and tourists all together. A privilege to be there and honour those who died protecting our homelands and ensuring our survival.

This evening was the Arrowtown Autumn Festival Art Exhibition in the Arrowtown Museum. The crowd of people there was almost too much, but all the art was wonderful -some incredible works.
