Larch Trees
A very murky start to the day. We are having work done to a small garden area at the back of our house. I was expecting a delivery by lorry though. I directed the driver on how to get to the rear of the property. While this was happening, the workmen turned up, and they dealt with the unloading of materials while I got back to work.
A nice morning walk, but on my own. Still cloudy. The trees on the west side of the park have come on quickly in the warm Spring weather we've been having. It is amazing, like the beech trees, how larch trees go from no green to all green without anyone really noticing. Quiet in the park.
By lunchtime, the workmen have cleared the area around our Rowan tree, and the wall, devastated by a bin lorry a few years ago, is reconstructed. Next, planters to be installed and stones to be put down on top of a heavy duty weed suppressant membrane. The sun has come out too.
But the time I finish work, the workmen have too. Very efficient. We have a wee chat with the workmen about what is next, and we can leave them to clear up/ Partner and I go for a walk. While sunny locally, views are very hazy, even those of the Pentland Hills. Nice to sit in the park for a few minutes, even though we are late, to watch the world go by before heading home.
