They're Piling Up

..again.

So many books, so little time. I am falling behind in my reading. while I was away over the weekend, another library book I had "on hold" came in, and then voila! A book I had ordered was delivered to my doorstep...earlier than expected. ( and not from Amazon, but from a CANADIAN bookstore chain. I am trying....)  I just can't keep up! 

And no reading time today. 

After all the morning rituals of after-trip chores and attending to the needs of Maggie the cat, I had a list of errands I had to attend to, but, quel surprise, a friend just happened to be in town and dropped by for coffee. And then another friend who also just happened to be in town dropped by and we three had a great time chit-chatting over caffeine and cake. ..until 1:30!  Tick Tock. Errands delayed to the afternoon. 

A friend from far away had arranged a FaceTime chat for 2:00 but when we finished, it was after 3:00 and a friend/neighbour called to say she would drop in around 3:45! 

Errands delayed until late afternoon...but then  my sister called  to chat..... 

Errands delayed until tomorrow! 

Being flexible is good.

Actually it was a great way to spend my first day back home. It was nice to see everyone and also it was a chance to get rested up and put the more strenuous chores off until the next day. 

No reading done though..and none tonight either. It is Stanley Cup time and the Toronto Maple Leafs are in the playoffs, and tonight they won the game ... in overtime! (extra) They are now leading the Ottawa Senators by three wins in Round One.  I predict that here will be a few more nights spent in front of the TV ....not reading.

That stack of books just keeps getting higher and higher .....
