Always bite where the hole is
Otherwise the jam squirts out of the hole when you bight the other side . . . !!
A bit of Silly Saturday advice. That and I’ve let all my blipping photo opportunities slip by, so nearly an EB.
Quite a productive day so far. Got tonight’s venison casserole on, cleaned the garden water feature, watered (fed) the pear tree and young cherry in the front garden, got the asparagus blanched and freezing. It’s so rare that we get the chance of British proper sized asparagus in the shops – that is the thickness of your finger or thumb, not the spindly tasteless stuff that you can apparently sell for a fortune in London.
It’s the first time we’ve tried freezing asparagus, so we followed the advice on the web. I’m not a great one for blanching before freezing. After trying MANY years ago I’ve never found the advantage nor need. Asparagus, however, is if a bit different to runner beans.
Apart from continually thinking that today is Sunday, nothing more to report.
