Nest Building

Bird flu had a serious effect on the wildfowl population at Killingworth Lake, and we didn't see any coots nest building there last year (there were some in 2023). So I was delighted to see this going on this morning. I only had my phone with me as a camera and it's rather a cropped shot but I wanted to record it. I'll keep an eye on developments and hope for some chicks over the next few weeks.
