Trixie's Adventures

Silly Collie

Today Ann told me that I was a very 'silly' Collie. Do you think I am a silly Collie?

I went outside onto our sun terrace for a little snooze and when I wanted to come in, the door was shut. Ann was lying on the sofa watching 'Four in a Bed'. She was tired because she'd walked me twice, had done a 5 hr shift at work on her feet and had walked to & from work. She really didn't want to get off the sofa to let me in. Especially as the door was open.....................

She shouted at me through the door................. 'Trixie, just use your nose (or your paws) and push the door open and then you can come in. 'MollyCollie' never used to have a problem coming in by herself. It's not exactly rocket science is it?'

I was a bit sad when I heard that. MollyCollie was Ann's first dog and I know that I have loads of really good qualities that MollyCollie never had, but at the moment, Ann just seems to be focusing on all the things that I can't do.

For example; When we came back from our walk this afternoon, our very lovely 'across the road neighbour, Julia', was sitting outside on her bench, so we popped over for a chat. Normally, I pull on my lead to get to her and then Ann lets go of my lead and I jump over her wall and Julia gives me loads of cuddles. It's not a very high wall, but today I didn't have enough 'jump' in me to jump over the wall. I'm only 6 years old for goodness sake so Ann opened the gate for me. I still got loads of cuddles from Julia, but Ann was a bit sad that I wasn't able to jump over the wall.

….................And in other news..................... Our weather app is full of little sunny day symbols for the next two weeks. Let's hope it's not lying again!!!!
