If you can't beat them...

Dog Tooth Violet (Erythronium dens-canis "Pagoda")

Oh that title box annoys me so often.  Why oh why provide a large text box but only allow text in 2/3 of it.  I only just managed to fit in the title I wanted hence the rant.

Now somebody is thinking why call it Dog tooth violet when it is yellow.  Well obviously the species the variety was developed from is a colour that could be referred to as violet. E dens-canis is native from Portugal to the Ukraine.

A good day of getting jobs done.  The tomatoes are in the greenhouse along with a cucumber acquired today.  I get my tomatoes from a lady who grows them to raise funds for the church while dropping off a tray she had leant to transport the tomatoes I saw she had cucumbers as well.

Progress was made on a bird related project I am working on, so as I said a good day of getting things done.
