It's a small small world
I had plans to go to Truro today to see what was blooming in the rock garden, then as I said yesterday, I was invited to a photoshoot which was en route coming home.
I took a couple of trips around the rock garden, once with the macro lens and once with my 18 - 135 mm lens. It was a cloudy day, but high cloud, so the lighting was good. My next stop was at Masstown Market for some treats. Then I headed back so I could stop in Elmsdale for the photo shoot.
A beautiful Victorian home used as a B&B now, and it is at the end of a dead end street, you would never even know it was there unless you were looking for a place to stay. It is a huge property too, with lots of gardens. I would love to see it in the summer. They did not have any guests this weekend which is why Ed was allowed to use it.
Ed had booked 2 models, but neither of them showed up. One was sick, and the other one forgot that she had said she would be there. Wayne agreed to be a model. Wayne is involved in reenactments plus he does fencing. He makes all of his own costumes, it took him 3 years to complete the jacket he was wearing today.
Earlier this week I went for supper with Diane, my friend that I had not seen for several years. Wayne and Diane met at a BBQ that I had at my place almost 15 years ago, and they have been together ever since. Ed, my photographer friend, and Wayne are friends. (Small world # 1)
As we were packing up this afternoon, Wayne and I were talking about longevity, and I said something about my mother's side of the family, the Sweet's, lived to be in their 90's. Ed tuned in to part of the conversation and heard me mention the Sweet's and he said he had a teacher in elementary school with the name 'Sweet'. I asked if it was Muriel Sweet, but he didn't know her first name. He was born in Windsor, so he would have had my aunt as his teacher, and he knew the house where she lived. (Small world # 2)
You never know where the connection to someone else is going to happen.
