And they’re off!

A fairly leisurely start with the foursome, I cooked a vat of scrambled eggs and we drank a lot of the coffee that Charlotte’s boyfriend brought from their Aussie run Brixton coffee roaster Volcano.  Extremely good, it gives me a chance to use my Bialetti now I have the one that works on the induction hub.

I dropped them at the car park at Buriton and they headed off up the lane to the South Downs Way.

Beautiful day, warming up for the big heat in the week to come.  We went to neighbour Rachel’s for lunch and started off sitting in the garden.  Friends of hers Edward and Victoria and Sarah joined us.  I brought with me, and drank my last bottle of Meon Valley cider (RIP) I’ve never found another bottled cider as good.

After lunch I took Woody on a long walk and went in search of nearer bluebells but only found patches in the lanes around the woods.  Came back to the big reveal that the cows are back in our field.  Yes the wild cows that were rounded up are now alongside us.  They seem relatively relaxed   I had met the farmer’s wife on my walk who is very stressed as the asparagus is ready to pick but they can’t find pickers.

V cooked supper and we watched an episode of The Studio, the very funny Seth Rogan show about Hollywood on Apple.  It is incredibly in jokes but it’s so funny it makes up for it.
