One stitch at a time
One page at a time
One day at a time.
The knitting is a scarf kit I bought at the Wool Clip in Caldbeck last week. I loved the yarn - colour and texture (80% Alpaca). I was also intrigued by the concept of using two dramatically different sized needles to create the lace effect. It’s not easy, using the odd needles alternately, definitely . . . one stitch at a time.
The book is one from the International Booker Prize Shortlist (see extra). I don’t often venture into the books from this list, as they do tend to be a bit strange and are not easy to read, but this has been chosen by an online book club I belong to, so I will give it a go . . . one page at a time.
I started the book last night and, opening it up this morning, discovered I was on page 13 . . . how fortuitous!!
After 13 pages, I usually know whether I am going to like a book and will continue.
After 13 years, I think I know whether I am going to continue, I think I will . . . one day at a time.
