LeightonMoss new hide

Well a replacement for the Lower Hide which had developed unsafe foundations.
We made it there this morning for the first time. Bit of a challenge as its a round trip of 2.3 miles from the car park. But at least it is all flat. A good hide but not quite as luxurious as Lillian’s hide which has carpet and soft benches !

Its in a good position. Over the years we have seen Bitterns, Otters, water Rails and an Osprey from this position.

Poor light this morning so my only  bird offering from the new hide is a not very good shot of a Great Crested Grebe in extra.
