The first petanque melee...

...of the season, and a good turnout in beautiful weather...

This is a "competitive" set of games that occurs within the club on the last Sunday of each month from April to September.

The team i/c have made a few changes from last season - we still draw lots, but only play two games which are timed to a maximum of 45 minutes. 

After the first game the teams change partners - hence the melee - and play a second game with the new set-up. Last year we tried to fit in three games, and it was just too long to play if the games were very close and therefore long!

A selection in extras - including Duncan in charge at the score sheet, and more lazing in the sun ;)
