Gently down the stream

Menyanthes trifoliata

I've really only caught up with this plant in the last couple of years or so and think it's rather wonderful.  Here it's growing in approx half a metre of water.  Don't you love those feathery flowers and the pink buds?

I got this shot on my walk, which was a slightly later one than usual because first thing I was busy in the garden.  In extras is another (rather happier looking) dunnock, sitting on the top of the arch I'm growing star jasmine over.  Not a great shot but I wanted to remember seeing it there.

The rest of the day's been grass cutting, a long talk with my neighbour, largely about broken fences and the meeting we went to yesterday.  Oh and I also walked Bram round the park.  What a lot of walking!

A quick reminder that WFW25_03 finishes at midnight tonight and from tomorrow we're on to WFW25_04.  How the weeks roll by!

Have a great evening, all  xx
