Twiggy

Spent some time at the allotment accumulating some twiggy sticks to put amongst the young peas, to deter attack from above. Also netted the new brassicas, which I'd failed to do last time - the fbs had already had a go.
Fed the little blighters, obvs, and did some watering - it's still v dry, particularly on the surface if your roots aren't very deep.

Had news last night that a very dear old friend is in a hospice and not likely to last very long. So sad.
