A quiet Sunday
morning in the city, so
I found a garden

I left the house just after 7 to drive up to the University to view their horticultural garden. I'd forgotten about "Boogie the Bridge" today. It's the 20 anniversary of this fund-raiser for cultural events and programmes. The bridge was already being constricted and I had to navigate detours.
I stopped in the University parking lot that overlooks the valleys to get a panorama. I couldn't see the bridge clearly but I imagined a sea of red T-shirts making their way across the bridge.
I moved over to the horticultural garden and was pleasantly surprised by how many spring blooms I could see. The garden is not as well tended as in its early years. There's a lot of weeding and clearing up that's needed, but it still offers a lovely place to stroll through.
I got my floral shots then headed back down the hill and across the bridge, mindful of the runners along my route.
I'm wanting a very quiet day and will spend it at home.
